How do I set up an account?

It’s really easy to join the big picture. Simply click on ‘log in’ on the home page and you will be directed to a page where you can register. Fill in your details and you’re on your way!

Will anyone be able to see my personal details?

No. Your personal details will remain confidential on our database. Please note by accepting the terms and conditions when leaving a review with the Big Picture you are opting in to marketing communications from Direct Holidays and the Thomas Cook Group, please see our terms and conditions page for more details.

What happens to my personal details? How will they be used?

This depends on what you tell us we can do with your data when you register. When you give us your details, you will have the option of allowing us to add you to our mailing lists. We will of course keep your details safe on a secure database in accordance with the data protection act so you can easily manage your big picture account.

Will my review be sent to the hotel?

We’d really like to send any negative reviews to our hotel partners – to help them improve and of course provide a better experience for Direct Holidays customers in the future. Your personal details will remain anonymous.

Can you help me with my hotel booking?

Yes of course. Our website is designed to provide maximum help with your booking, but you can also call us on 0871 664 7985 or call in to see us in person at one of our five branches. Please see the main website www.directholidays.co.uk for full details.

How do I book that hotel?

Simply click on the special ‘book now’ icon below the hotel description and it will take you to our main website where you can check availability and prices and make a booking.

How do I upload my photos?

Simply pop in your review details in the ‘submit your holiday review’ section and you’ll be prompted to upload your images if you want to do so.

What size and format do my photos needs to be?

Photo’s need to be a maximum of 1MB each and you can upload a maximum of 10 photos.

Can I leave a review without submitting photos?

Yes of course – simply click ‘skip’ when you are asked if you want to upload photos.

Which photos can I not upload? (does this need policing?)

Lots of people will be visiting this site and we’d like to maintain it’s integrity. So please do not send us any images containing nudity or of an offensive nature. Our site administrator will simply remove any images that we feel are not appropriate. Also please make sure your images fit our size and format guidelines above.

I was offered an incentive for a review – is that ok?

Yes, it’s fine we often offer prize draws and incentives for review feedback to maximise the responses we get. In this way you get the benefit of maximum feedback to help you choose your next holiday with us!

The review I wrote is attached to the wrong hotel – how do I fix this?

If your review is displayed for the wrong hotel please email info@thebigpicturedirect.co.uk with the location of the incorrect review and the name of the correct hotel where the review should be displayed.
