Takis Apartments, Sidari, Corfu

012

You’ll instantly get used to the relaxed pace of Greek life at Takis Apartments. Colourful, lush gardens, a lazy pool area and a snack bar all add to the relaxed atmosphere. At night time, close by Sidari comes alive with a friendly mix of family bars and bustling restaurants. Takis Apartments and Studios are fully equipped, spacious and bright. And once a week the owner, Takis and his family, host a brilliant traditional Greek night. It’s certainly not to be missed!

Cannot believe comments about sheets. I have been here for several years and know that Lucia would clean every room daily! Sheets are changed regularly more than once a week. As for Effie being rude, this too I cannot believe. Effie is the perfect host and proud owner along with her husband Takis. I would constantly recommended this place for a holiday to anyone.

Takis Apartments

We can not big this place up enough we have been here for the last 4 years and have booked again for this year. Effie and Takis are always very polite and helpful as is the rest of the staff Jennie included. The rooms have always been cleaned on a regular basis. The greek barbecue eve is really good fun my 11 and 13 year old girls love it. The pool is always spotless. As far as we are concerned this is the place to stay if you want nice quiet surroundings and a relaxing holiday, and not to far to walk to nightlife and restaurants. We tend to eat every night at Mythos because the meals are fantastic and the boys who run it are amazing people, they do not have a children's menu as kids eat the same as adults, half portions for half price (this makes a change from the usual burgers, nuggets etc with chips,) they have a wide choice english, greek and italian.

This years holiday

Great apartments, clean and comfortable, well situated, very friendly. Close to beach and bars but far enough away from bars if you like a quiet evening on the balcony.

Fantastic value for money holiday!!

Booked this at the last minute as our original holiday was cancelled because of the ash cloud - & boy are we glad we did!! The apartments are very basic but have everything you need for a self catering holiday. The apartments & complex are spotless & tidied every day. As the complex is only small, wherever you sit by the pool you can see exactly what your children are doing without having to leave the sunlounger to look for them - brilliant!! There's plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance of the apartments, but to be honest Effie & Takis (the owners) make lovely food at very reasonable prices, so a couple of nights we just ate there. Once a week they have a brilliant barbecue & Greek night which is great fun, lots of lovely food & Greek dancing. Although the apartments are near the main street in Sidari & the beach, it's still pretty quiet. So during the day it's an ideal place to completely relax around the pool & at night you don't get disturbed, which is ideal if you have children. It does take about 1 hour 30mins on the coach from the airport, & to be honest the only downside to this holiday was our experience at Corfu airport to go back home. It's very small & there's loads of flights so we had to queue outside for a LONG time, so be warned!! Our rep, Jennie Williams, was brilliant, always willing to help & chat. I would definitely consider going back & would recommend this holiday to anyone - but please bear in mind that the apartments are very basic & you get what you pay for.

Bar Area (22/12/2010)

We have been to the Takis twice now in 2008/09 and we found the bar tends to stay open as long as there are people drinking in there.

I did not have my bedding changed in 8 days and were also aware that others had not had their bedding or towels changed . WE DID HAVE A WORD WITH JENNY WHO IN TURN GOT EFFEE TO ASK THE MAID TO CHANGE IT . THIS RESULTED IN THE MAID GIVING BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND VERBAL ABUSE BY THE POOL IN FRONT OF OTHER GUESTS. NOT IMPRESSED, SO DID NOT SPEND ANY MONEY IN THE BAR FOR THE REST OF SECOND WEEK .

Takis Apartments, Sidari (24/08/2010)

Booked this as a last minute get away and for chilling out. The place was an ideal location being set outside the town but close to all amenities and the beach which I used constantly. The apartment, although small and basic was perfectly adequate for myself as I travelled alone. The apartments are very clean and could not fault the upkeep although I am not sure my sheets were changed for the whole week. My major downside was actually Efie who I found to be extremely rude. I feel this is because I challenged her about cost of having a courtesy room to prepare for my return journey. Having paid 5 Euros for the safety deposit box on arrival I enquired about courtesy room and she charged me 30 Euros. After making enquiries I queried this with my rep, Jennie who inturn challenged Efie about this. Efie became very irate and rude at this point but nontheless did eventually return the overcharge of 10 Euros. Consequently I decided to do without the courtesy room and asked for the remaining 20 Euros back which Jennie totally agreed with. Efie again became angry and evasive making out she couldnt understand. I did eventually get the 20 Euros back as Jennie spoke to Efie about this and apologised for Efies attitude. I was most upset that Efie could accuse me of lying about what I had paid as I have never, and would never, try to do anyone down. For the remainder of my holiday whenever I had reason to ask Efie anything she made it perfectly clear she wouldnt help. Maybe because I was on my own I was treated this way because as others have already said she was always friendly with couples and families. This said she obviously took exception to me challenging her for some reason! This is the first time I have travelled alone and Efies attitude towards me is hopefully something she doesnt display to other single travellers because maybe next year they may have many more late rooms to fill because I certainly wont go back despite loving the apartment, location and area as well as many other lovely Greek people I came across.

Takis - Bar (07/10/2010)

Hi Looking to book Takis Apartments for May 2011 and was wondering if the bar is open late evening? We usually go out for dinner and then return and have a couple of drinks at out accomodation bar before returning to our room.

Don't Get Confused

There is another Hotel with the name Takis in Sidari, DON'T GET CONFUSED!! This one is excellent, the other operator is Olympic. Effie & Takis are great hosts, the place is spotless, ideal location for a quiet break but near enough to town for all the excitment.

Takis Apartments (29/12/2010)

Hi Just want to know how far these apartments are to the centre of Sidari as I have 2 teenage girls who will be out on a night and have to get back so don't want them walking up dirt tracks to the apartments in the dark. I would rather have somewhere very near to the nightlife.
