good all round hotel

we stayed in the helios in june 2011. our room was clean well situated over pool but other side of hotel is just as nice. food very good, very clean hotel. we have been to this hotel six times now and we are going again this Nov. good all round hotel, near markets, beach, night life etc.

Pleasantly surprised

We arrived on the Saturday night and were appointed a room on the eighth floor, while waiting for the lift a lady remarked that we were on the "noisy" floor. She was not wrong, a party of English males were staying and made quite sure nobody got any sleep. We complained at reception next morning and were promptly moved to a newly refurbished room on the second floor. The staff were excellent and we have never stayed in a cleaner hotel anywhere in the world. Although we had read negative reviews about the food not being suitable for British guests we always found a varied selection to choose from and the food was always hot. There were many Spanish guests as well as other nationalities but we had no difficulties with anyone. This hotel does not have a great deal of entertainment but in every other respect it is very good.
