Koni Village, Stalis, Crete

An idyllic Cretan getaway springs to mind when you see Koni Village. Picturesque views over the mountain range, two lovely pools surrounded by well kept rose gardens and beautiful sun terraces have to be one of the best ways of topping up you tan. You can even play a spot of tennis if you fancy. Charming, spacious studios and apartments, traditionally furnished, teamed with great views of the Stalis resort make Koni Village the perfect place to unwind.

Koni Village

Most definately exceeded my expectations and think we had a real bargain. Having spoken to the reps I wouldnt want to stay here during the summer months as by the sounds it is an overflow from Malia and is pretty well full of teenagers and having teenagers of my own dont want to spend my holidays with them! But at this time of year mostly couples. Wouldn't say this complex is particularly brill for young kids as there isn't much for them to do. Pool area lovely and clean with plenty of sun loungers. Our first rooms were fine however the balconies look onto a brick wall (603,604,605) rather like being in a dungeon and absolutely no point having a balcony! However spoke to the rep's Sophie and Darren who arranged for us to change rooms to pool facing rooms (block 7) and as it turned out it was worth being in the dungeon for a week as these rooms had lovely pool views and better still sea views. 'Cardiac' hill wasn't as bad as we thought although it is pretty steep, glad we weren't any further up the hill, but you can do it in stages if you need to as the climb is broken up by pool areas and the bar! The food in Stalis offered a really good choice and quality and I would recommend The Anatolia and Creta Restaurant, food delicious in both. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and definately didn't want to come home!

Excellent!!

Would recommend to friends and family. The only regret I have is that I didn't book for 14 nights. Koni Village is about 10 mins walk to the main resort center the up side of this is that you have piece and quiet. The hill that everyone talks about is rather steep and if you have walking difficulties I would recommend asking for lower ground room. We stayed in room 1011 right at the top of the hill and it really wasn't an issue. The restaurant had plenty of selection and compared to the rest of Stalis it was on a par price wise. The bar which stays open until 2am every night is great Nikos the barman makes a mean cocktail and as a local he is very knowledgeable about the island. The shop on site has all the basics that you will need. My advice to anyone is go and book Koni Village today you wont regret it.

Koni Village Stalis, Crete

Very Good facilities, clean and with good views of sea. Bit difficult to get to the resort and beach across a busy road. Also we were allocated a room at the very back of the hotel on the top floor. Was very difficult for a couple 60+. This is a bad memory - if located on flat ground would go back - would recommend only for the fit and young - such a pity - nice place.

Brilliant

We have been to Koni 6 times and it gets better each Year. People from all over the UK and Ireland so nice mix of Families Groups and couples. The complex is family run and well maintained and although there is a hill known as Cardiac hill its small price to pay for view from the top of complex. Easy access to Stallis resort, dozens of restraunts bars etc and reasonably priced. Check out Restraunt Creta, it's just of the main Stallis resort road - food is fab we are goin back in September again, cant wait.

Koni Village review

We have stayed here 4 times and have booked for next year. Apartments spotless, sun beds always available, weather fantastic. The resort of Stalis is just a 10 minute walk away and has everything we want. Lots of excellent restaurants and bars. Very friendly people who remembered us 2 years after our first visit.

Koni Village Review

We have stayed in these appartments 4 times which speaks for itself really. They are excellent and Stalis is exactly the sort of resort we like. Lots of bars restaurants and suited to young and old alike. those who prefer quieter spots can find them and the busier areas are not 'over the top'. Youngsters can walk into Malia if that's the nightlife they prefer.

Koni Village Review

The Koni Village is clean and friendly if a little hilly! The main resort is close by and has plenty going on.

Koni Village Review

Koni Village is a well maintained complex apartments clean and quite spacious.Location quite good but only drawback after first week found the steep hill quite daunting. Stalis is a great place for everyone.
