Rising Star Apartments Protaras Review

The Rising Star apartments were in an ideal location right on the beach. They were clean and the hotel staff were friendly Protaras itself was great with plenty eating places and loads of watersports.

Rising Star

Just back from a superb holiday. The 1 bedroom apartment we had was much larger than expected. The whole hotel and pool area was kept very clean, bed linen changed 48hrs. The location could not be faulted, on the beachfront, the sea was crystal clear, and close to bars and restaurants. The Thomas Cook entertainment team were 1st class, especially James and Sammy. Would I recommend?... well I was only home for 6 days before re-booking for Aug 2011! Enough said!

Rising Star 2010

Just returned from the Rising Star. Stayed on half board. Excellent location, on the beach. Excellent daytime entertainment. Good size clean rooms. Good breakfast. The only thing to let hotel down was the lack of choice of food at evening buffet. Going back but will go self catering.

Rising Star

Just got back from a two week holiday at the Rising Star hotel. It was a brilliant holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's location is brilliant as it is right in the main part of Protatas with just a very short walk into the main street with all the bars and restaurants. It is also right on the beach which gives you a beautiful view from most of the hotel balconies. The day time entertainment which is suitable for children, teens and adults is very good and they do not bug you if you do not want to join in; there is also a childrens club for the younger children to go to during the day time. There are also quite a few small supermarkets near by which sell most things for a reasonable price as the hotel is mainly self-catering. The rooms are a good size with good kitchen space and appliances for full use. The pool area is a good size and is kept clean and it is quite easy to get sunbeds although a lot of people do get up early to get them. Most of the people in the hotel are English which is nice as everyone is friendly and talks to each other. The only down point to the hotel is the evening buffet for half-board and all inclusive. We went half-board so we ate in the hotel. What they supply is nice but there is very limited choice and most of the time we struggled to find something we liked or fancied. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday and we are looking forward to returning next year where we will be going self-catering instead of half-board.
