IS THE RIU MAMBO FOR YOU?

Hotel spotlessly clean. Food first class. Staff very friendly. Beach very narrow and gritty, mostly in the shade also covered in flies. If you are beach people like us the Riu Mambo is not for you. Be prepared to have to pay 42 dollars for safety deposit box. We have been visiting the Dominican Republic for 15 years and never had to pay before. Although the rooms are very clean they are poorly equipped. No tea and coffee facilities. Hair dryers only available from reception on payment of a deposite the same with irons. Televisions out of the arc thats if you can see the picture. The staff are hard working to ensure a good holiday and if you like the pool there is always something going on. Very nice pool area. All in all a mixed review with things for and against depending what you are looking for.

Best Holiday

These 3 hotels are grouped together the bachata is brilliant, the staff could not do enough for you. the rooms are really good with air con and your own mini bar with optics and soft drinks, there is an ice machine on the end of most blocks and they replenish the drinks every day the beaches are great, only fault the sea bed is really rocky but the water was brill members of the entertainment team are about all day and really friendly bringing drinks and fruit to everyone round the pools and on the beaches it is good that the water sports are on a small beach to the side of the main one seperated by a small atol with the very picturesque gazebo reached by a pathway to the top. Food is very good with alot of choices, we like it so much we returned the next year.

Amazing Hotel

I travelled to this hotel in February a couple of years ago. This trip was one of my favourite holidays. I found this hotel to be fantastic, they really looked after you and the food was fantastic. I really could not fault this hotel. We did a couple of excursions when their, I would definitely recommend the swim with the dolphins and the white water rafting day out. It was a brilliant experience. You can use the facilities of the 2 sister hotels next door, Merengue and the Bachata. Would return to this hotel again.
