Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh, Nabq Bay, Egypt

0123

With its own Aquapark the kids will be in their element at Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh. Formerly the Golden Resort, the modern Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh is located in the quiet area of Nabq Bay and is set in lovely, tropical gardens. Families and couples love the great facilities here and can choose from two refreshing pools, four bars and a host of sports and leisure activities. Don’t forget the totally fab Aquapark, just in case there’s not enough to keep you all busy!

Great holiday

Had 2 weeks in this hotel settings were great and the pools and slides were fab for the kids and adults. The only disappointing aspects were the food which was very basic and you sometimes struggled to find something to eat in the evenings, there was no ice cream or lolly for the kids and the entertainment was not very good so dont expect to much in the evenings. The rooms were big and cleaned every day and the staff were brill and amusing.

Best holiday ever

Would highly recommend and would definitely go back again. The room was enormous and was cleaned daily. The food was good, unless you are fussy there was plenty to choose from. Pools were great, there was a pool for everyone from toddlers upwards. Staff were fantastic, could find no fault with any of them, in fact the towel guy was keeping our sun loungers for us everyday. amazing what saying thank you does!! Beach is across the road at another hotel but there is a crossing to use. Loads of shops right next to the hotel where they do try to drag you in but when you say no thanks they do leave you alone. Didn't go on any excursions but there was plenty to choose from.

Food (19/10/2010)

Hi, someone mentioned on another post that there is an a la carte restaurant at this hotel. Is that correct and if so, what type and how often can you use it? Also, I am a coeliac so am keen to know if they could cater for me, ie gluten free food? Will they cook food fresh if there is nothing suitable on the buffet? Thanks.

brill holiday

read so many bad reports about this hotel did not want to go but we really enjoyed our time here. staff very friendly and helpful can't praise them enough. girls who do kids entertainment are only young but are good with kids my granddaughter is very shy but after two days would not miss mini disco. we got friendly with a few of the waiters elsayed runs the tarin pool bar on his own and as soon as we came out of pool there was a drink brought to us he works very long hours and is always smilling. mahamood who does the alacarte meals is a brill laugh and is always fooling around. rooms are very clean as is restaurant

Park Inn (18/10/2010)

We returned from the Park Inn a couple of weeks ago and it was with reluctance. The place was fantastic, pools were great and the staff were better than first class. Would highly recommend. Would go back again in a heartbeat. We had to get a Visa at the airport, we were advised that it was best to get one as if one of us took ill and they had to fly us to Cairo for treatment that would be delayed as someone would have to go and get a Visa for us, for all the cost of one it was better to be safe than sorry.

Wow

This is the 4th time we have been to the Park Inn during 2009/2010, enjoyed every time. However the food was better in 2009 with more varied selection but still very good. The staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. The boat trip to Tiran Island is a must & very good value.

info on this hotel (24/06/2010)

me and my family (my husband, myself, my 17 year old daughter and 12 year old son) have booked two weeks stay in the park inn hotel in nabq bay, however, reading reviews we have come quite concerned that we have not made the right choice. if anyone has recently come back from this hotel we would be greatful for some advice.

Mrs Julie Richards

Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh (24/06/2010)

Please don't believe all you read, different people have different tastes - if one person say's it's nice another will say it's rubbish. When me and my wife and son went in september she was very apprehensive after reading several reviews, but by the end of the week none of us wanted to leave. It all depends on what you want out of a holiday. The Park Inn is a big hotel with lots to keep you busy - just lay by the pool or go into the hotels large water park or better still go down to the beach grab a sun bed and some drinks from the beach bar. P.S a holiday is only as good as you make it, hope all this rambling helps but it is a good hotel with excellent staff. P.P.S tell the cleaner you will tip them at the end of your stay to get an even better service!

Dress Code (07/06/2010)

Do men have to wear long trousers for evening meals? Is there anything you cant wear?

Mrs Judy Harris

Dress Code at the Park Inn Sharm el Sheikh (07/06/2010)

They do like you to wear long trousers, but you can get away with knee length shorts. Things you cannot wear are; fancy dress hats, football shorts and nobody is allowed in wearing swimming costumes. Hope this helps and you enjoy your holiday.

Park Inn

Don't let the cheap pound note for the holiday here blind you for what is going on at this hotel. The food hygiene is well below standard, cleaniless around the hotel is something to be desired. Here is a case off a great car without an engine, it's like going back the early seventys in spain roll em' in roll em out in large numbers.

Park Inn (01/09/2010)

I have visited this hotel TWICE! went back for my honey moon this hotel is fantastic, the entertainment isn't brilliant but hey, its your holiday and anything goes. We got very friendly with staff they cant do enough for you! The hotel staff are always cleaning they never seem to stop, our room was spotless everyday. My husband is a very fussy eater and we found something to eat every night no problem. We even paid around £15 and had a candle lit dinner with a view over the pool and watching the sunset over the mountains with belly dancers as entertainment, and the food was huge! 5 course meal we were stuffed by end of it but really enjoyable, I had a seafood dish had crab, lobster, sea bass, prawns was beautiful, husband had a mix grill we couldn't finish it all! Naama bay is the main bustling resort this hotel is outside this but you can get a taxi for around 5 English pounds, the hotel is 10 min away from the beach, and about 25 min walk to Mcdonalds, KFC and Starbucks you will find a great English bar along the way call St Georges brilliant for trips all English tourist on the trips so a great laugh! If you want any more info don't hesitate to email me we know a few tips and hints to help you enjoy tour visit I have recommended this hotel to family and friends who are planning on visiting asap! Thanks again Thomas Cook and park inn. The Thomas Cook reps were brilliant!
