Still brilliant second time round

Still brilliant second time round - cannot find fault. Had spa treatment this time round- go with a gang of female friends - was so funny. Soho square now is expanding, its better than narma bay. A special place with special staff!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant

HAD A FANTASTIC 2WK ALL INCLUSIVE AS A GIFT FROM MY FAMILY ON MY 50th BIRTHDAY. COULD FIND NO FAULTS. STAFF GO RIGHT OUT THEIR WAY TO MAKE YOU FEEL SO WELCOME. MY THANKS TO WAITER (Ayeman) ROOM VALLET (Adel) AND MANY OTHERS. THE ANIMATION TEAM ARE A GREAT BUNCH. ONE ANIMATION TEAM MEMBER IN PARTICULAR WHO JUST LOVES THE SCOTTISH ACCENT WAS (Ali) AWRIGHT MATE, SEE YE LATER. THIS GUY IS LIKE A MINOR BIRD WHEN IT COMES TO MIMICRY. BEST HOLIDAY EVER. WILL GO BACK SOON AS. JUST LOVED IT. WENT SNORKELING AT TIRAN ISLAND (A MUST DO) AND VISITED CAIRO WITH A CRUISE ALONG THE NILE BEFORE LUNCH AT THE AMAZING CAIRO TOWER. THE PYRAMIDS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. YOU SIMPLY CANT GO TO CAIRO AND NOT SEE THE PYRAMIDS. NO MATTER WHAT THE LOCALS THERE TELL YOU WHEN YOU GET OFF THE COACH, NOTHING IS FOR FREE. THE MONEY IS EASY TO WORK OUT AND GIFTS ARE ALL REASONABLY PRICED. THE CAMEL TREK, STARGAZING TRIP, WHEN YOU GET TO DRINK TEA AND HAVE A MEAL WITH THE LOCAL TRIBESMEN (BEDOUIN) IS A TRUE EXPERIENCE. EGYPT, ESPECIALLY SHARM EL SHEIK WORKS FOR ME....TRY IT

The staff were very attentive, Ahmed at pool 1 was very helpful and friendly. Entertainment was absolutely rubbish apart from that we will definitely be back. Hopefully the beach will be opened next time.

Brilliant

Just arrived back after a fantastic week with 3 other female friends - all over 50. We were treated brilliantly, the waiting staff were so attentive, our drinks were never empty and plates cleared away immediately. There was so much choice of food it was hard to decide what to eat. Quite a lot of other nationalities who insist of piling their plates so high you would have thought it was their last meal but they did not bother us. We also ate at the Italian 3 times which was also very good as well as the Fatima experience but make sure you book. The bar staff looked after our needs in the evenings around the main pool and were always happy to make whatever we asked for including having our coffees in large cups instead of the usual small plastic ones (only plastic around the pool) We had 2 suites which were a decent size, kept spotlessly clean. The shower did't look up to much but was very powerful. No bath plugs but we soon got over that. The rooms could probably do with an upgrade - who wants to stay in their room all day anyway with all that lovely sunshine! We mostly frequented the adult only pool on the better wooden sunbeds complete with comfy matress but the other pools were pretty good. Gardens were well looked after. Make sure you venture out onto Soho Square to see the shops and the evening light show. On a previous trip to Egypt I felt quite apprehensive about venturing out but this hotel and surrounding area was no problem. All in all a great holiday with fantastic friends, plenty of laughs in a brilliant hotel where the only money you really need is for tips at the end of your hol (take £1 coins). Would have no hesitation in recommending.

Best holiday complex I have ever been in. Service was great and helpful, room was huge and kept spotless every day, food was excellent and varied enough for us. Perhaps one of the best things was that we did not have any kids with us and pool no3 there are no kids allowed. The other three pools were bouncing with kids. We have already booked to go back next July straight to pool no3. It is very hot but if you can handle the heat you will love it!

Very good value for money (24/09/2010)

Just back from Sunrise Island View was very impressed with hotel although the rooms could do with some upgrading. Staff were very friendly and helpful could not do engough for you, rooms cleaned daily new towels bedding etc. I must admit after reading some reviews I did not think I would enjoy Egypt, but now I have been I would go back again.

Class holiday

Before I start I must say some people will twist on 21, they must think there royalty. Just got back from sunrise island view on 2nd Sept and booked next day for next year, class, weather unbelievable, food spot on something for everyone (kids also) pools great, complex huge and clean + spotless, waiters + barmen very very friendly, Haitham (hi sam) Essam (e sam) would do anything for you and always smiling + laughing best barman is Haitham. Rooms good size (junior suite) Soho square great, get your lacoste polo shirts 4 £10, snorkeling out of this world like standing in a goldfish bowl, one of the best holidays we've had, that's why we booked for next year, CANT WAIT!

Hi, I am going to the Sunrise Island View - I believe there is an ULTRA A upgrade. Do you know about this & DO YOU ADD ON on arrival & how much extra is it & is it worth going for? my travel agent doesn’t seem to know about it. I have been told they are refurbishing I am booking for 28 days Feb 2011. Thanks.

Best Holiday Ever

Very apprehensive after reading reviews, but nothing at all to worry about. We travelled with our two teenage daughters so had two rooms, not too far away from each other. Rooms very spacious, only criticism was not enough coat hangers (10 per room) so may be worth taking spares (ladies), rooms cleaned and made up on a daily basis, fridge stocked daily with bottled water. Daughter's room had problems with shower (for four consecutive days) but maintenance men did their best to rectify the problem promptly on each telephone call. Wide range of foods each day, plenty of choice. Beach bar food ample for snack at lunchtime. Pool areas kept immaculate, be prepared for early get up to secure sunbeds by pool, although plenty spare on beach. Overall, holiday was fantastic, very hot in August, staff cannot do enough for you, very friendly and most of them happy to help. Evening entertainment is so bad, it's actually funny - it could do with a makeover but they do their best. We returned home a week ago and already we are looking to book again for next year - that's recommendation in itself!

Hotel fantastic as was staff, service, reps, food, cleanliness, was treated so well only down fall was evening entertainment but that won't stop me from booking again for next year. If you have never been to Egypt and want to go this is the place to stay

Beyond expectations

No complaints except we wish we had discovered this resort before. Food spoilt for choice, and waiters all couldn't do enough for us; all cheerfull and happy. Room ideally placed for us overlooking the 4th pool with a sea view. Cleaned every day with a smile, and stocking up our fridge. Beach ideal, with access to snorkling over brilliant coral reef. One of our best value for money holidays. Will most definately return 2010.

Egypt's for all

This is my second time being to the accommodation and it is great. I enjoy the location as it has a great reef for diving and its own diving school and is in Shark’s bay which is a great resort. There is Soho square which is a modern complex with ten pin bowling, cinema and an ice rink, it also has the 7th ice bar in the world. You are only 10 minutes from Nama bay and Cleo park (the water park in Nama bay) which is great too. See the rep as we got half price tickets for this. You need to take a junior suite at the hotel as it is only £1 per person more per night and so worth it. The hotel has a disco and a great evening entertainment team. Will be going back next year.

Sunrise Island View Review

Excellent holiday overall the resort is beautiful although there were issues re the organisation of the restaurant (it's chaos) and bars - they didn't have enough crockery or cutlery for everyone also regularly kept running out of all makes of drinks in the bars as well as wine in the restaurants it seems as if you were limited to one or two glasses only!
