Great hotel

Went here 6th September 2010 with my husband we both had a great time, food was nice and there was only one day the food was the same. Hotel very clean. 2 very nice pools. Rooms nice with balcony over looking the sea. Entertainment good - shows on every night ,lot of stuff going on in the day as well. If we had to fault this hotel then it would be the lifts was not always working properly and it was a long trek to the beach. The bar staff did not always smile. All in all we had a great time we met lots of nice people and will be going back here again. Don't believe the one drink one person, it is not true we was able to get two or more drinks each and when we were sat at table staff was always happy to help and would ask you if you wanted a drink.

Nice hotel, great food, lousy entertainment

Bad points up front. The entertainment or the animation team should be done under trade description acts. They did nothing, bingo every day in the afternoon was their most animated. The DJ was crude & kept playing unedited expletive laden music - just what's needed in a family hotel. The bar & entertainment took place in the dining room which was a bit strange but you could live with it. The stupid one drink per person rule is annoying but sometimes a waiter would take pity & deliver. Oh but pint of coke is OK, pint of Fanta is not - figure that out. The good stuff Excellent choice of quality food, very clean & staff very helpful. Decent room size but beware no air con only ceiling fans to stir the warm air. The sunbed rule was for once adhered to with staff removing towels if nobody present. Frankly this should be done everywhere & particularly here there was no need as each room has it's own sun terrace with beds provided. Middling stuff Get used to waiting for the lift, the stairs are too many and too steep for any but the fittest. Not the place for kids in buggies or the infirm. Nearby shops are awful & every single restaurant tries to entice you in even when wearing an AI band. Pools are not great and are very noisy when Buster Blood vessel is running the bingo. We had to make up our own camp beds for the kids which would have been a problem if we'd arrived at some awful hour. As it was we arrived mid afternoon so we were just a bit narked.

Altamar Aparthotel

If I had to find faults it would only have to be the stairs if you had to use them, and towels were only changed about every third or fourth day, but you could request clean ones at a small charge. We had a great room, floor below restaurant and pool B no 97B massive balcony. All rooms seemed to have sunloungers on. Food was nice, plenty of variation, you don't have to eat the same thing every meal. Entertainment was quite good most nights as we were all inclusive so we felt we had to stay there most of the time to benefit what we'd paid. Some comments we read complained about getting one drink per person we never had a problem when staff get familiar with all your family together we were getting three drinks at a time. On the plus side as well there was a brolly to every two beds with free cushions to go on them. Beds still available till about nine. All in all a good hotel. P.S Don't go on the free trip to Anfi even though you do get back 45 euro they kept us talking for 3 hours trying to get us to buy a time share - waste of a day.
