Anfora Playa Hotel, Es Cana, Ibiza

I can't believe anybody could post a bad review of this hotel !! We stayed here last year, this year and we'll be going back again in the future. You really cannot fault it. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a brilliant little dining room run by two staff who will clear, and re-lay you a table in a matter of minutes! I think too many people expect a 4 star experience whilst only paying 2 star prices (we stayed for a fortnight and only paid about £550 each). As has been previously mentioned, the hotel is in a quiet location but ideally situated close to the beach and bars/cafes/restaurants. And whilst it is true that the guest rooms are not air conditioned, all's you need to do is open your balcony door ;-)

The rooms were like sleeping in an oven no air conditioning. We had to rent a fan which was useless. the meals were okay sometimes. You had to clear a table of dirty dishes before you could sit down. Depending on the cook of the day the bacon was burnt the eggs had black bits and the meat was tough. I would not recommend this Hotel to my worst enemy.

My friend and myself cannot praise the hotel enough. Our room exellent, cleanliness exellent. the food was 1st class and the staff were freindly, helpful and cheerful. The location was one of the best, quiet but with everthing close by, especially the lovely beaches. The resteraunts and local bars offered good entertainment and where all of a good standard for cleanliness and value. You must try Charlies Bar. We would definately book again. Soon I hope.

This August will be our 8th time to this hotel its great, (we've met some good friends here) rooms are very clean, good food, having 2 pools is great, very nice staff, loads for the kids to do, the hotel is in a good location, its close to the beach and shops, even though there is some good entertainment on its not really ideal for the young party goers. Es cana is lovely with some good restaurants (8/9 euros for a 3 course meal on the prom facing the sea) and bars (2 euros a pint) cant wait to go back.
