We stayed here for a week at Whitsun and although it was a school holiday and the hotel was apparently full, it certainly didn't feel that way. There is so much space, more than enough pools to accommodate all ages, tastes etc.
Our room was comfortable enough, the beds are never the same as your own are they?? Our girls had their own separate bedroom with proper beds not campbeds as they have had in the past. They only downfall was that the only wardrobe was in that part of the room. We had a lovely sea view from the sunny balcony. Our room was cleaned everyday and the minibar was always stocked. We where at the top of what some have referred to as cardiac hill, but we where never in a rush so a leisurly stroll back up was never a problem, to be honest after the amount of cakes I ate whilst here i needed that hill to burn some of them off!! Talking of food, it was excellent more than enough choice, it was our 1st time All inclusive, and I found that the girls and my hubby tried more dishes than they would have normally. I was in my element as I could eat cake at any mealtime, oh and inbetween too. The salads where fresh and tasty, meat, pizza, pasta cooked in front of you. You won't get your typical greasy fryup for breakfast here. The waterpark area is great for a couple of hours but as there are no sunbeds around this pool, just chairs and tables, we found we went to the bigger pool after lunch. Kids club ran for a few hours morning and afternoon and all children where made welcome, no matter what language they spoke. Evening entertainment was good, you probablly wouldn't pay to see it, but they whole team worked really hard and had fun.
Kardamena itself is a dump, I am glad the hotel was quite a way from the town as we only went in once on the courtesy bus, the hotel really is in the middle of nowhere, but for a week I don't think this mattered. The beach is shingle so take some beach shoes/strurdy flip flops etc. We took a day trip to Nisyros, an island about an hour or so away by boat, you get to see the real Greece here, the volcano was amazing!!!
