another 1st class stay

Having stayed at the Hawaii before we knew we would not be disappointed, this year we opted for a superior room and although a little pricey it was worth it. We felt the hotel was better than last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food is ok, you can always find something you like although breakfast is better than dinner, the staff are a lot happier than usual so something has changed. We would recommend the Hawaii and are already booking for next year, we would also recommend Direct Holidays for the best price, we are Amigo Hotel club members and although you get reductions through the hotel website you have still got to pay for flights and transfers.

Fabulous!

Hotel is situated bang in the middle of palma nova and is 5 -10 mins walk from Magaluf. The beach is gorgeous and just 2 mins from the hotel, down the street and a few steps! Ive read other reviews on other sites where people have been disappointed in the food, but i couldnt fault it! It was lovely, I sometimes think people expect a full sunday roast while they are on holiday! Area is very clean and its only 5 euros in a taxi to go see Pirates - a must see! I would definately go back. I enjoyed it that much I am going to the sister hotel in Ibiza this year!

Fantastic

We really enjoyed our stay here, we go to palma nova twice a year and normally stay at the santa lucia, over the past couple of years we have felt is not worth the money so decided to stay at the hawaii and were not disappointed. Reception gave us the wrong type of room on arrival but we were able to change next day so only a minor hiccup. The room was spacious and had lovely views from the sunny balcony. Maid service was good and they cleaned every day if you wished. We enjoyed the restaurant and the food was always tasty especially the desserts and i was very impressed with the choice of fruit at both breakfast and dinner. The bar/lounge in the hotel could do with updating but we spent most evenings out so again not a problem. Do go to Ruby Tuesdays and of course Dianas on the beach, any regulars to Palma Nova will know these bars. We really could not fault the hotel and would recommend booking through Direct Holidays as they always have the cheapest prices and better luggage allowance etc. We have already booked again for the Hawaii and are looking forward to staying in one of the premium rooms which were recommended by a guest when we were there last. Cant wait to get back there!!!

Hotel Hawaii upgrading room and accessability. (09/01/2012)

How do you book Superior rooms with a sea view on the Internet? Is the the hotel situated on a steep hill and difficult to climb, and access from the promenade and beach. Thank-you.

Upgrading at the Hotel Hawaii (12/01/2012)

Hi, It seems that this year Thomas Cook and Direct holidays do not have any premium rooms available. You could try ringing them to ask why. Monarch have different rooms available and also some other internet companies. I priced it up with Monarch and they are cheaper and have flexible dates,12 nights etc. You can book direct through the Intertur website. They are also doing some rooms this year which have a lounge and bedroom. We liked the premium room which was very large but the standard rooms are certainly bigger than in most hotels. With a premium room you also get free tea and coffee making facilities and fridge and obviously the best views however nearly all rooms have seaview just some better than others. The hill up to the hotel is steep but short!!It is not that bad-the hotel drive is also steep from the main entrance but again not too bad-not difficult to climb really depending on your age i suppose. You can go out of the hotel past the swimming pool and this route takes you along the flat to the beach. This is great in the daytime and only takes a couple of minutes from beach to hotel if you need to pop back to your room or go for lunch etc. This gate i believe is shut at night after 11pm but is useful in the daytime if you want to avoid the hill in the heat. We love this hotel and were going to book for this year but are going with friends who wanted to stay at the Santa Lucia where we have also stayed many times, this has great access in the flat part of Palma Nova but i have to say it is a Thomson hotel and we have paid through the nose for it-if we were not going with friends we would have booked the Hawaii. I also think you can upgrade when you arrive if they have the rooms available. Hope you enjoy your holiday. Regards Tracey

Hotel Hawaii Mallorca Review

The hotel is in an excellent position, the views are beautiful, the food was really nice and plenty of choice. A short walk and you’re in Palma Nova which is great for families, not too busy and there are lovely bars and places to eat along the front. Would visit here again.
