Fantastic Holiday & Resort

This was our second time at this resort, we had previously visited 6 months earlier and we just had to come back. This resort has 5 hotels but are only able to use the facilities at 4 of the hotels. The resort is fantastic always clean the staff never stop cleaning down to the gardeners. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, they are kept clean to a high standard there is towel art left on your bed everyday. The pools are great and so many to choose from, there is also a wave pool and a lazy river. There is always plenty to do during the day, there are the Star Friends these people lay on plenty of activities throughout the day so you will never get bored, for the young children there is a kids club. The beach is fantastic always kept clean and there are always plenty of sun loungers. The walks on the beach are great and you can walk for miles. There is a beach bar and also a beach barbecue area. The food is of a high quality there is a huge choice of food at breakfast in the main air conditioned restaurant near the lobby, there is also a restaurant by the pools for late risers up until midday, it closes for a short time then it re-opens at lunch time for an informal buffet, if you prefer to have a more formal buffet lunch then there is the air conditioned restaurant (the same restaurant used for breakfast). The drinks during the daytime around the pools and beach are good but are local brands, you will get the international brands in the main lobby bar and also the bar at the Maya you share the facilities whith the Maya. You are also able to eat and drink at the Beach & Del A Mar hotels, but they are not able to drink or eat at the Lindo or the Maya. The speciality restaurants are great which you have to pre book, each block of buildings at the Lindo has there own conicerge and all the speciality restaurants have to be booked with them, there are about 12 speciality restaurants to choose from along with a buffet restaurant. The nightly entertainment is good and there is a different show every night, there is also a nightclub for those who want to party the night away. Al in all this is a great holiday and resort and would always recommend this resort to all ages, couples, honymooners & families. We booked to come back in May 2009 but due to the swine flu we cancelled and re-booked to go the Dom Rep this was our biggest mistake. We have booked to come back for our third time in July 2010.
