JR

We got there early morning, receptionist said he hasn't got our booking. Waited for an hour, got the room, had a wee nap, missed our breakfast, met hol rep. Complained about the room because it's not the pool view, got the room changed 3 times. Not allowed to bring any drinks or snacks to the pool. Spent more money for the bus everyday there but we love the country, culture, foods and boat trips. People are friendly, definitely go back to turkey again but not stay here.

Condem It

Arrived at resort earlier in morning to find that my party of 4 was not even booked into this hotel. Staff gave us a room to rest in until problem was sorted out. It stank of something, there was blood on the pillows in 1 of the bedrooms and our out look was a half filled green pool. This place should be took off your books. I must thank Thomas Cook staff for saving our holiday so quickly after 1 phone call we were promtly move to a nicer hotel and were able to enjoy our week.

Hotel From Hell !!

Where do I start? The rooms are small dingy and dirty. When we got to our room we had wet sheets on the beds no pillow cases dirty & blood stained pillows with wet & dirty towels. The air conditioning didn't work, half hanging off the wall, the 3rd bed was a sofa bed that was broken. Pictures are not true to real life. I would advise never to stay at this hotel. There were 8 of us in our party in 3 rooms and they were all as disgusting. Staff hassle you all the time to buy drinks & food from restaurant & was told couldn't have water bought from the shop in the hotel by the pool had to buy it from the restaurant. Really dispointing when we complained staff were very unhelpful. Was told by the rep this was standard for Turkey. We moved to another 3 star hotel Emre Hotel in Marmaris also 3 star on day 2 and there was no comparison. This hotel should be closed down and is a disgrace. I advise NOT TO GO HERE ! Emre Hotel was lovely nothing like this hell hole.

Best Holiday in Turkey

I went to this hotel in Sept 09 and had the best time ever, this was my second time to Turkey but first to this hotel and am going back in May, the staff are ace, so friendly I've missed them all loads. The weather is to die for hot hot hot!!! It's away from the clubs so that's good if you have kids or not bothered bout night life see I am but loved it still, but bus straight outside hotel and takes 5mins to get in 2 town. I cant wait to go back

Should be demolished!!!

Spent 2 miserable weeks at this dump! No hot water, the pools were filthy several holidaymakers taken to hospital with viruses directly linked to pools. We were up on the 5th floor (we being pensioners!) and the 2 lifts in that building broke down on a daily basis. We were told we could sleep on the sun loungers when we complained for the umpteenth time. The place should be demolished by the sanitary dept for the filthy conditions of the apartments and grounds.

Antique Palace Hotel Review

Had read a few reviews just before we left and was quite worried we had made a mistake, but as in previous holidays Direct Holidays didn't dissapoint. Accomodation was basic and small as expected but cleaned every day linen changed every 3, but the overall hotel complex pools, food and facilities were fantastic. Staff couldnt do enough for you there was staff show/entertainment every night, all great. All in all a great holiday will hopefully be back next year. Thanks Direct Holidays again....

Antique Palace Hotel Review

"Hotel was located quite far from the resort centre but there is a bus which stops right outside and there are plently of bars and restaurants on the walk down. The room we had was spacious and clean with two balconies. My only problem with the room was the lack of hot water this wasn't so bad in the evenings when to be honest a luke warm shower was all I wanted so as to cool down. The aircon worked well and we were never woken up in the night by being to hot. The entertainent in the hotel bar is loud and as most of the rooms overlook the bar it can be difficult to get an early night. The music gets switched off at midnight but thats when the singing starts!!! The staff at the Antique Palace were all friendly and welcoming. Overall I would return to the Antique Palace but I'm not sure it wold be suitable for those with young children mainly due to the noise at night. Marmaris itself was nice the weather was great perhaps a little to hot. My only complaint would be the hassle that you get from the locals. Although this has improved in the last few years it is still annoying. It is not so much the shopkeepers that bother you anymore more the restaurants. My advice is just to politely say no and keep walking otherwise you will never manage to eat in a restaurant more then a 100m from the hotel. Marmaris is bursting with restaurants and bars some good some not so good. All in all a good holiday."
