not a good family holiday

When we arrived at the hotel and the apartments the staff were friendly and helpful but once we got to the apartment, it was not up to a very good standard. The fridge that was in the hallway was leaking, the bed clothes again look very shabby. We had this holiday booked for over a year expecting it to be brilliant. no so and as for the food in the hotel restaurant, it was horrible. The first week we were there me and my husband had upset stomach, and the rest of my family felt the same way about the food at the hotel as well. all my daughter would eat was marmite on toast, it was lucky that we took the marmite with us from home. the second week my daughter boyfriend was joining us and he to did not enjoy anything either so we all ended up going to resturant on the promanade to eat for our second week. our son is a chef in a 5 star hotel back in england and he said to us that if their hotel served the food that this one did then they would lose ther michelen stars that they had won for good food and presentation and that mean alot to his hotel so why is it when you pay good money to go all inclusive it is a total let down. the resort was brilliant and all the people we meet while we were they made us all very welcome marmaris is brilliant very lively which was great as there was so much to see and do our too teenager love it another thing about all inclusive is that you had to pay for ice creams and they did not have bacardi as a spirit which most hotel serve we will be going back to marmaris next year but will not be going back to the blue bay hotel and apartments one resturant we found was the romance resturant along the promanade excellent food and service

more like a 18-30 hotel

Just back on sunday from marmaris, the resort is lovely and plenty to do and great places to eat, the weather was great really hot. The hotel was lovely although advertised as 250 rooms there was about 600 rooms at least, it was clean and tidy although the air con didnt work in the main reception wasn't good when waiting to be picked up to go on outings or when leaving on the last day. the food wasn't that good we could eat some of it but the kids lived on chips for 2weeks and pancakes for breakfast, you had to pay for ice-cream's that wasn't part of all inclusive, didn't find the all inclusive beneficial to us as we went out of the hotel most nights due to the fact that the entertainment was really rubbish and it was full of young groups of people, the kids disco was from 9pm 9.20 pm every night and the same 5 songs every night, other entertainment was karaoke, mr blue bays or miss blue bays, male & female belly dancer in the same week, drinking competitions and them make them kiss random people what's family entertainment about that. never got a good nights sleep due to noise and disturbance in the early hours with people trying to get into their room after being at the disco's it was more like a club 18-30 hotel the bus came at 11pm every night to take all the young groups to the nightclubs, would go back to turkey but not to this hotel. we had a 1 bedroom apartment it was very spacious the only thing was it only had air-con in the bedroom and no fan in the toilet a pain when showering, plenty clean towels and beds changed regular.

Family Holiday

My teenage children really enjoyed their holiday here at Blue Bays this year. The team of young guys who entertain you really made our holiday. They are lovely fun loving people. The location was close to beach and bars and plenty of places to eat. The bar next door the Il Primo is an excellent place for value for money. Opposite the hotel there is an excursions counter where you can order several excursions for your whole stay. The more you book the less you pay.

Not Brilliant

Rooms not cleaned or change of towels unless asked. One of the rooms we booked did not have a change of bed linen the whole two weeks we were there. Food ok. Reception staff very helpful, when we arrived we were allocated attic rooms, not what we booked, but we were given alternative rooms. Mid way thro holiday several coach loads of Bulgarian students arrived, it seemed like a 18/30 hotel, overall not really impressed and unfortunately we will not be going back. Not really impressed by Thomas Cook Rep.

There was a group of us, we had a great time, plenty of entertainment, the food was good as long as you are not a picky eater and you are prepared to try something different. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a quiet relaxing holiday. If you are up to party then this is the ideal Hotel.
